A marketplace for your campus

Pass it on to someone nearby

Every semester, students buy things they only need for a while — textbooks, a desk, a rice cooker, a bicycle — and every semester, others are looking for exactly those things. UgathSell makes it easy to pass them on to someone nearby, instead of throwing them away or buying new.

Why we built it

UgathSell is an independent project. It is not a company, and it is not connected to any university or student body.

It exists because group chats and general marketplaces are cluttered, hard to search and full of strangers. Here, listings are organised by university and campus, so what you find is close to where you are.

100%

Everything students ask before their first trade.

If your question isn't here, write to us. Answers come from a person, not a bot.

Yes. Listing is free, selling is free, and we take no commission. If paid features are ever added, we'll say so before charging anything.

University students in Malaysia, aged 18 and over, buying and selling their own things. It isn't a place to run a shop.

Between the two of you, in person. UgathSell holds no money, offers no escrow and makes no refunds, so meet somewhere public on campus and check the item before you pay. See Safety tips.

Not unless you give it to them. Messages stay inside UgathSell, and a conversation you report is one a moderator can read.

The Messages icon shows a count while you're on the site. If a message waits unread for 15 minutes, we also email you, once per chat until you read it. You can switch that email off in Profile → Notifications.

60 days. After that it moves to Expired in My listings, where Renew puts it back up for another 60 days. Mark it reserved while you arrange a meet-up, and sold once it's gone.

Report the listing, the member or the conversation with the Report button; screenshots help. A moderator looks at every report and tells you the outcome. Anything urgent can go to the Contact page.

Profile → Delete account, whenever you like. Your listings, photos, conversations and saved items go with it; the Privacy Policy lists exactly what is removed and what is kept.
